New York City Basketball Hall Of Fame Induction This Week

A reminder that the NYC Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner will take place on Wednesday night at the New York Athletic Club.

A reminder that the NYC Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner will take place on Wednesday night at the New York Athletic Club.

They’re inducting former N.B.A. stars Kenny Anderson, Rod Strickland, and Sam Perkins, as well as Eddie “The Eel” Younger, who starred with Long Island University and the New York Rens, coach Pete Gillen, and Rucker Pro League contributor Bob McCullough. Former Columbia star Lou Bender will also be inducted as the veterans’ committee selection.

The Hall of Fame event starts with a reception from 6-7pm, and dinner from 7-10pm.

    I have a former team mate that I’m sure is a canadiate for entry.

    His name is Len Elmore. Len is from NYC.
    Played for Power Memorial in 1970, when this school was the NUMBER 1 HIGH SCHOOL IN THE NATION!!

    He attended the University of Maryland…….graduated…..and played in the NBA for about 7 or 10 yrs. One team he played for was the NY Knicks!!

    He then attend HARVARD LAW SCHOOL…..graduated…and work for the NYC District Attorney office as an Ass’t DA!!

    He has been a sportcaster on ESPN for the past 10 years.

    Ok, so there are his stats…….so could u tell me ……….how does one go about getting a person nominated for selection to the NYC Basketball Hall of Frame?

    Please respond back…Oh yeah…forgot to add……..he is a very close friend of Pete Vesey, sports writer for the NY Post, whom is also inducted. I’m sure if you want any reference……he can provide it.
