George Crowe played professional basketball for a number of teams including the New York Renaissance in the late 1940s.

He was a member of the Rens squad that played in the 1948 World Pro Basketball Tournament in Chicago.

Later, he was on the Rens team that joined the National Basketball League for the 1948-49 season as the Dayton Rens.

At 6 foot 3 inches and 206 lbs., Crowe was a scoring forward and defensive specialist.
